The $792 billion plan calls for a reduction in the individual tax rate and the individual capital gains tax rate, a reduction of the marriage penalty, and the elimination of the inheritance tax over time. The differences between the House and Senate versions have been worked out, although lawmakers are expected to wait to pass the bill until after their summer break, during which time they plan to raise support for the plan with the local taxpayers.
